Monty’s Lighthouse is a Cajun Seafood / American Waterfront Restaurant & Bar overlooking Lake Conroe in Montgomery, Texas. We are locally owned, and family operated.
So, what’s behind the name and what’s their story, you ask? Well, this is how it all began…. We are long-time residents & Independent Restauranteurs of Montgomery, so, we have a natural affection for the area and its’ residents. We were seeking opportunities to grow our business and had several opportunities to develop other restaurants, but we felt a need to create a restaurant offering Cajun Seafood, but, with a focus on the locals of Montgomery. So, we started planning the new concept with the objective to create a beautiful restaurant and bar with amazing food, drinks, and views like no other for many miles. Something very special for the local people to be proud of. Something that they could call their own and share with their families, friends & visitors. We wanted it to be a place to build memories; something unique and very personal to the area. So, since Montgomery is the birthplace of the Texas flag, you will see that we have incorporated that into our logo and throughout the restaurant, giving it the distinguished recognition that it deserves. The nickname “Monty’s” represents…you, the locals, the residents of Montgomery!!! Now, about the lighthouse….If you approach the restaurant by boat, you will notice that the waterfront side of the restaurant looks like a lighthouse and it is very charming… so, it was only natural to include lighthouse in the name.
We serve Chef-inspired traditional New Orleans style Cajun Seafood. We also offer a variety of American dishes and bar appetizers created with a Texas touch, of course, that we have created especially for you. We take pride in the full experience and complement our food with fine wine, craft beer, cocktails, and in-house-made desserts. We are very passionate about food, drinks, and the restaurant/bar business. We are dedicated to creating amazing Chef-inspired food with fresh seafood and quality ingredients in a clean and welcoming environment. We are meticulous about our wine & beer selections and our cocktails are mixologists inspired with the best of fresh juices and ingredients. We are extremely driven and strive to provide every guest with outstanding food & service for an exceptional experience every visit.
Bar guests - If you like to sit at the bar top…..then look no more…it’s huge. We have an extensive wine and beer list for both the Cajun and the Texan in you. Whether you’re going out for date night or meeting up with friends….we are “your new place”. This bar is gorgeous!!!!!

The views of the lake are breathtaking, whether you’re out on the patio, at the bar or dining in the restaurant, you will enjoy the relaxing atmosphere and the views. Patio heaters take the chill off on cool days. We have several public boat-slips available so that you can arrive by boat or by car.
